Event: Himig Handog 2018's Best Song is "Sa Mga Bituin na lang Ibubulong" by Kyle Raphael Borbon interpreted by JM De Guzman/Jason Dy

 It is in pain that you gain wisdom they say but Kyle Raphael Borbon who was inspired from a heartbreak earned a million and more opportunities from his pain where he wrote "Sa Mga Bituin na lang Ibubulong" that won this year's Himig Handog 2018's Best Song. We had an opportunity to interview the winners of Himig Handog 2018 last Sunday after the awarding ceremonies held at ASAP.
 Best Produced Track was SJ Gandia's "Tinatapos Ko Na" interpreted by Jona; Philip Arvin Jarilla's "Wakasan" won 2nd Best Song earning Php500,000; John Michael Edixon's "Kababata" won 3rd interpreted by Kyla and Kritiko; "Mas Mabuti Pa" written by Mhonver Lopez and Joanna Concepcion and interpreted by Tawag ng Tanghalan grand champion Janine Berdin was hailed 4th Best Song and Sarah Jane Gandia's Tinatapos Ko Na interpreted by Jona won 5th Best Song.
Three Himig Handog sepcial awards went to Jan Sabili's "Sugarol" performed by Maris Rascal, hailed as MOR's Choice, TFC's Global Choice for Favorite Song and MYX Choice for Best Music Video directed by John Leo Garcia.
