Event: FDCP sends off Six Filipino films to 17th New York Asian Film Festival

Filipinos are hard to please compared to the world when it comes to films. It is high time for Filipino films to be recognized all over the world now that the Film Development Council of the Philippines sends off not one but six quality Filipino films - Direk Erik Matti's On The Job and BuyBust, Direk Irene Villamor's Sid And Aya(Not A Love Story), Direk Mikhail Red's NeoManila, and Direk Richard Somes' We Will Not Die Tonight and Direk Treb Montreras' Respeto at the 17th New York Asian Film Festival this month.
Some of the stars present during the send-off press conference at Cocoon Hotel yesterday were Best Actor Abra, Best Supporting Actress Chai Fonacier, Mike Swift with Direk Treb Montreras for Respeto, Brandon Vera and Anne Curtis for Buybust and Sid and Aya with direk Erik Matti and direk Irene Villamor,direk Mikhail Red for NeoManila, Erich Gonzales, Paolo Paraiso, Max Eigenmann, Thou Reyes, Nico Dans and  Sarah Abad with Direk Richard Somes for We Will Not Die Tonight.
FDCP's chair Liza Dino shared that FDCP assisted our delegates through our IFFAP (International Film Festival Assistance Program) and that Richard Somes' We Will Not Die Tonight will open the film festival while Direk Erik Matti's Buy Bust will be the closing film so everyone will have a chance to scour at the excellence of Filipino films in NYAFF at New York this month.
