Laksa Noodle Soup, Tom Yum Noodle Soup, Beef Hofan and Taro Squash Stew at Tien Ma's

Sometimes we just need juicy Tom Yum or Laksa noodles these days. Tien Ma's authentic Taiwanese offered new dishes and I did not miss sampling some of them at their newest branch at Kia Theater Cubao last week with my students and coteacher.
Laksa Noodles and Tom Yum at Php245 did not disappoint with just the right amount of kick and spice to start a fun day. I loved how the fresh tomatoes gave the sour and sweet punch to this lightly spiced noodle dish. Laksa was not too spicy also with hefty servings of shrimps. Beef Hofan at Php259 was also good and tasty.  What we thought was quite an acquired taste was their Taro and Squash Soup at Php199. Maybe it's the expectation and getting used to Ginataang Halo-Halo that made us not fans of the Taro and Squash Soup.
The Laksa Noodles was my favorite among the four while the kids preferred the Beef Hofan. Since it's Taiwanese, we also did not miss Tien Ma's famous Assorted Xiao Long Bao and our favorite Melon Juice in Pitcher (Php220)
A trip to Tien Ma's is a real food trip to Taiwan sans the plane ticket. I can't wait to go back for more of their dimsum and those sumptuous seafood. Visit Tien Ma's at www.tienmas.com and https://www.facebook.com/tienmasph/
