Some nights are made to last. The creators of Kita Kita, Spring Films brings another unforgettable story for us to harp about in "Last Night" slated to show Sept27 in cinemas. We joined fellow bloggers in a fun chat with the cast, writers and director yesterday at 9501 Restaurant ABS-CBN. The comeback movie of Piolo-Toni loveteam after "Starting Over Again" has no resemblance to "Last Night" and totally opposite according to producer Neil Arce and writer Bela Padilla.
"It's a story of two people who had one night and they want the night to last", said Direk Bininibini Joyce Bernal who made Toni Gonzaga lifted up in harness at Jones Bridge Manila. Toni was convinced to do it despite the stench because direk Joyce did a demo.
It was hilarious watching them all tease Neil Arce to actress-writer Bela Padilla discussing the plot and concept of the film. Maybe it's a good practice to get writers ask questions that are open-ended. These what-ifs may be the source of a great story and by luck becomes a movie opportunity.
It's so hard to not awe at the discipline Piolo Pascual delivers in every project. Playing Mark opposite Toni as Carmina, Star Cinema's Last Night promises a beautiful though dark romance we'll all love starting Sept27 in cinemas nationwide.
