The law favors the men only when it comes to infidelity. I did not miss joining Star Cinema's biggest drama movie of the year, #TheUnmarriedWifeWorldPremiere last Tuesday at Megamall with fellow bloggers. Directed by Maryo J Delos Reyes, written by Vanessa Valdes, The Unmarried Wife features the story of Anne played by Angelica Panganiban, Geoff (Dingdong Dantes) and Bryan (Paulo Avelino)
The premiere attended by GMA stars Glaiza De Castro, Marian Rivera, Rochelle Pangilinan was also attended by BoybandPH, Angel Locsin, Vice Ganda, Dimples Romana, Paulo Avelino, Angelica Panganiban and Dingdong Dantes. The story presented a gradual development of the pain with constant confusing flashbacks and banter of lines that seemed classic of a teleserye yet with original script. It was a story common to wives with husbands who had an affair yet honest at delivering acting performances by Angelica, Dingdong and Paulo.
What was most unforgettable were lines delivered by Angelica as Anne to Geoff( Dingdong) and Louise (played by Denise Laurel. These powerful lines delivered what most wives would want to say to their husbands and to the shady character of Denise Laurel as Louise in the movie. I loved how the movie tried to relieve the viewers the resolution and closure to the harbored pain on infidelity. It was a movie that taught me and maybe the wives who related to the movie the right choices to deal with similar conflicts in a marriage. In the end, the lines of Anne (Angelica) should teach majority that we should learn to forgive and ask forgiveness not for the purpose of being right but to achieve the peace of mind we want for ourselves. Thank you Direk Maryo and Vanessa Valdes for The Unmarried Wife. Don't miss it guys now showing in cinemas nationwide.
