Event: The Diva Media Cook-Off experience #ChefInYourEar #MyKitchenRules7

Savor the taste. It was an unforgettable experience joining and winning the cooking challenge dubbed Diva Media Cook Off yesterday at EDSA Shangrila Hotel, Mandaluyong. Diva, the leading women's entertainment destination from NBC Universal Network launched two of the hottest reality cooking competition shows set to air this May as part of its #DivaLovesFood line-up: Chef In Your Ear (Wednesdays 8pm) and My Kitchen Rules Season 7 (premieres May 9 Monday at 1020pm, New episodes Monday to Wednesday at 925pm).
To have a first-hand experience, all members of the media participated in a cook-off with specific instructions. I was with the biggest number in Table 1 assigned as the leader when I told them how much I love cooking at home. With me were Cheryl and George True, Jude Cartalaba, Ms. Donna, Mommy Adae and daughter Abi, Ms.Leah and Sam and Ms.Joy Mendiola. With surprise ingredients, we were given only 60 minutes to complete the task of one dish and one mocktail.
We had too many arguments on which to cook first and what dish but because of the good gift of patience, we've all managed to work together and whip up dishes from collaborated efforts. When I was asked to present the dishes, I thought of only "Summer Zing of Flavors". It must've been the colors and the ingredients that gave me the idea of summer and since we were in panic while working, "zing" would be a great word to describe the swift and fun.
Voila! We came up with Tomato and Mushroom Pasta that actually tastes so good, Rosemary Chicken (we called Marya Marya because it was marinated in egg, soy sauce and butter), Salmon in Capers and Lemon, a plateful of Tropical Fruits in Season decorated by the Dessert pack of Jude, Donna, Cheryl and George and the fusion of fruits we called Summer Zest which blended watermelon apples and oranges, orange, melon and lemon syrup, apples oranges and mangoes. To our surprise, every dish was so delicious that it was wiped out in seconds after the taste test of the judges. I knew it was all concocted with love and they must have felt it too that we won. With this experience, I've grown more interest to watch more cooking reality shows and explore more types of cuisine to improve my skills. Thank you Diva Channel Philippines. I am already excited to watch Chef In Your Ear and My Kitchen Rules Season 7. For more information, please visit http://www.divauniversal.asia and https://www.facebook.com/diva.philippines/
