Everybody can dance and since it's good for the body and mind, we should start young. Wonder at ABS-CBN's first dance contest reality show #DanceKids launched to the media last Wednesday at ABS-CBN. With Dance Masters; Teacher Georcelle Dapat-Sy of the GForce, Andy Alviz and Vhong Navarro, kids scouted from different regions of the country were given chance to join the first DanceKids on ABS-CBN.
Tryouts were held in different places looking for solo, duo and group acts ages 4-12 years old to showcase their dance abilities. From among the hundreds who joined the audition, 60 acts were chosen to face the final two teams led by dance celebrities. 32 will be chosen from the 60 and finally 16 acts will have to compete to get to the final 4 who will battle to grab the first ever Dance Kids grand champion title.
When asked how the Pinoys compare with the world's culture of dance, all three Dance Masters vouch at the skill and potential of the Filipino. Teacher Georcelle was teary-eyed recalling one of the tryout's anecdote saying she saw herself in one of those kids. Some people are born dancers but the three believe that anyone can learn the dance. It is time to witness our very own kids surprises on the dance floor with Dance Kids hosted by Alex Gonzaga and Robi Domingo starting tomorrow Saturday and Sundays also at 6pm.
