Indulge. It will always be Chinese when we think of celebrations. KingChef restaurants grew from its roots in Banawe QC. Now with branches everywhere, it brought a new haven for foodies specializing in dimsum at 238 Banawe St. Quezon City. I joined fellow Zomato foodies sampling some of the newest treats KingChef Dimsum Kitchen last Friday. I've been bringing family and friends at KingChef for years now and it never failed to surprise me with quality and delicious Chinese treats the whole family truly enjoy.
From the bestsellers, Hakaw, Bird's Eye, Beancurd Roll, Taosi Spareribs, Fried Prawn Dumpling; Soyed Wanton, Duck Wanton, Pumpkin Balls, Malay Cake, Mango Balls, Spicy Prawn Noodles to the new feasts; Barkada Rice Bucket and Congee Feast, everything that came out of the kitchen was unforgettable. It was difficult to choose which stood out among everything we sampled.
I loved the Congee like the others not because we've gotten used to the taste of savory dimsum but because their Congee takes you to a gradual experience of tastes and textures. In one spoon, your palate is treated to soft gooey sticky rice that'll let you savor the sweet and salty mix of its broth. You'll then discover the gamey crunch of meat and aromatics infused in that bite that'll make you guess if it's ears or what pork parts you just ate. It was an adventure you'll want to keep doing. The Malay Cake and the Mango Balls was the best ending. I will definitely go back for more of KingChef's dimsum and congee. At reasonable prices, it'll be a feast to cherish.
