Finally, an affordable and tasty Japanese. Tokyo Joe, the more affordable Japanese fast-food from the creators of Rai Rai Ken Japanese Restaurant finally opened its newest branch in Spark Place, Cubao Quezon City last Saturday. With fellow foodie bloggers, I've indulged in one of the tastiest and most delectable Japanese food feast at Tokyo Joe Spark Place.
Everything I wanted from a Japanese resto was at Tokyo Joe's and I did not hesitate to sample their Beef Gyudon Bowl served with delicious Iced Tea. What separates TJ from the rest making Beef Gyudon was the sauce. I loved how it wasn't salty nor sweet. It wasn't even dry unlike those I've tasted. TJ's Beef Bowl was juicy, the rice was perfect and those pink ginger strips were just perfect to compliment each bite.
We then sampled some of their sushi served in this beautiful tower. It must've been the crunch of the fresh veggies used in between the meat (fish, shrimp and other seafood) or those exploding flavors that punctuated my tongue to bliss at each bite or I may have really enjoyed it well with their authentic soy sauce with wasabi that I had to have more helpings of each variant. It was a happy sushi experience that I have forgotten to sample the next dishes served after.
Most of the restos we all visit usually ask orders and deliver them straight to the table with a straight face. TJ's staff were all smiling and perky to some extent that they were all dancing along with the kids who enjoyed the music during the opening of the restaurant. It's the type of service you'll love in a restaurant and they were all very accommodating to every need. Tokyo Joe which started in Cebu last 2012 will open more branches this month at the University Mall- De La Salle Manila, SM Manila, SM Bacolod, Robinson's Las Pinas, and Robinson's Roxas City. They also plan to open another 10-15 branches in the next coming years. Mr. Joey Garcia intends to strengthen and capitalize on his brand giving the hungry market more innovative food offerings that no other resto can provide. I'll definitely go back for more of those bowls and bentos. Let's all turn Japanese without spending more at Tokyo Joe.
