It could've been that excitement to wear a wedding dress. Every girl's dream to be beautiful and the myriad of reasons why weddings just take our breath away will get each one of us to say "I Do or I Don't"starting August 30, 2014. I've joined the rest of the media watching ABS-CBN's first wedding reality show, "I Do" press preview last Thursday at the Dolphy Theater, ABS-CBN. Hosted by the Queen of Soap Opera, Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo, "I Do" chose 9 couples from all over the country to win a million peso, a house and lot courtesy of ProFriends and a grand wedding.
9 couples chosen with diverse background and culture will be housed at "I Do Village" in Lancaster Suites,Cavite (by ProFriends) to face Life Tests with the help of official "I Do" Council; Coach Pia Acevedo, Dr. Julian Montano with Jayson Gainza as co-host. We've witnessed first two episodes of the show and I must say, this is one exciting and funny reali-serye that'll set everyone glued on TV. I loved the life tests and reactions of each couple. I guess no matter how long or short the relationship had been, there isn't a guarantee to keep staying together.
All my questions on how relationships should be worked out were slowly answered in each tests given to the couples. For most of us Filipinos, especially the women, emotions rule the decisions. Tears were both running from also the men in each failed tests and the surprise was always what the test was for. The grand conclusion of each challenge was the explanation and advice of the Council. I Do will surely teach the public majority how to handle their own relationships and how to really make it work. I was surprised at the couple who had similar decisions and I will definitely watch this show because of the epic reactions from the men. As they say, what's good for the gander may not be good for the goose, each episode of "I Do" will allow us to reflect how much effort and understanding have we given to our partners. Who'll bag the one million jackpot, the house and lot and the grand wedding in the end? Watch it Saturdays and Sundays starting Aug. 30, 2014 same time-slot of PBB weekends.
