Event: Fun Videoke and Interview with Bamboo, Sarah Geronimo and Luis Manzano at #TheVoiceKidsPHGrandPresscon at GoodTimes KTV
It's always exciting to watch kids perform onstage. I love The Voice Philippines' "Pangarap ang puhunan, Boses ang labanan" and starting May 24, 2014 on ABS-CBN, all of us will get hooked on TV again with The Voice Kids Philippines. With similar coaches Broadway Diva Lea Salonga, Rock Superstar Bamboo Manalac and Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo, the new kids singing-reality search will surprise and entertain the country how the kids and the coaches make and break dreams of children and the avid fan viewers. It was an exciting and definitely unforgettable grand press conference with the coaches Sarah and Bamboo at Good Times KTV in The Fort Strip, BGC today with media friends. MJ Felipe and Aaron Domingo guided us all in different rooms to enjoy karaoke with Sarah, Luis and Bamboo before the Q and A.
When no one dared to grab the mic, I had to take the chance to sing-along with the Box Office Queen and Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo singing "Through The Years" followed by Rod Magaru who sang a duet with her after. Sarah was excited with the new show and she recognizes how the adults are also similar to the kids. Bamboo Manalac (Team Bamboo) also said the same thing seeing the maturity of kids joining The Voice Kids Philippines on its premiere. I will also never forget singing "Baby Come to Me" with Bamboo today (bucket list checked!). I'm so excited already at the Blind Auditions and watch the coaches swivel their chairs to select 18 artists for their respective teams. The Battle Rounds Kids Version will slightly be different with each coach to pick 3 members on their team singing one song together compared to the adults with two. Only one from each group will advance to the Sing-Off where six artists from each team will try to give their all to impress their coach.
In the Sing-Off, each coach must pick two artists who will get into the Semi-Finals and from the 6 semi-finalists, Top 4 will be selected to compete in the Grand Finals. I wonder who among the coaches will have two members in the Top 4. Hosted by Alex Gonzaga and Luis Manzano, The Voice Kids Philippines will definitely be fun and heartwarming. Luis, The Legal Boyfriend of The Legal Wife (Angel Locsin) shared his Legal Advice to aspiring The Voice Kids, "Don't forget your studies." The witty, funny, hunky and really handsome Luis who said it'd be impossible to place the two of them hosts in one gap/segment (referring to the similarly talkative Alex Gonzaga) shared his excitement over the new show and looks forward to learning from the coaches and the contestants' experiences.
The Voice Kids Philippines is an important singing-reality search not just because it will make and break dreams of the contestants but it will also shape the dreams of the aspirants and protege from the viewing public. Bamboo said he is now better prepared with The Voice Kids Philippines when I asked him how his experience from the adults version gave him nightmares contemplating on his decisions as coach in Team Bamboo. I am so excited to get to know each contestant in The Voice Kids Philippines starting May 24, 2014.
