Event: #StarCinema and #RCP's #SaNgalanNgAmaInaAtNgMgaAnak #blogcon: #kuratongbaleleng and the magic of the Padillas

The Padillas are set to redefine what Kuratong Baleleng is on cinemas on Jan. 29,2014. When what we knew of Kuratong Baleleng was a gang tainted with organized crimes in 1995, it was a family that started with pure love for the country in Ozamis. Star Cinema and RCP Productions present a very significant film to narrate vigilance once originated in Mindanao with the action icon Robin Padilla and family with "Sa Ngalan ng Ama, Ina at ng mga Anak". Starring Robin Padilla(also the director) as the first leader of Kuratong Baleleng with the family Mariel T. Padilla, Daniel Padilla, Kylie Padilla, Bela Padilla, RJ Padilla, Matt Padilla, Rommel Padilla with star-studded supporting cast, Pen Medina, Christopher De Leon and more bringing action movies back to life in Philippine cinemas on Jan. 29, 2014.
Without Robin and Mariel, Rommel, Daniel, RJ, Matt, Kylle and Direk John Villarin joined the bloggers conference at 14 Four Cafe in Tanay Rizal. The artsy ambiance of 14 Four Cafe felt like home with comfort food while waiting for the Padillas to arrive. We were also shown the opening exhibit of The Stick Designs in the interiors of the house. When the Padillas arrived, questions on how they felt creating as a family brought unanimous gratitude to Robin and Star Cinema which gave their dream a reality. According to Daniel Padilla, he was too comfortable shooting the scenes with the brothers he hardly felt being injured until his brother mentioned bleeding in his head. When asked what makes a movie a Padilla movie from their initial blockbuster Mista in 1994, Kylie said, "guns and more guns".
I've also grown admiration to Robin Padilla showing his love for this country joining class acts through the years. Sa Ngalan ng Ama, Ina at ng mga Anak movie like the title suggests is about a family whose values roots from the attitude of protecting the welfare of each other at every situations. The magic of the Padilla is in that pure and genuine love they'll share in this movie. I'm pretty excited at the production design with backdrops of mountains and other areas of Ozamis unexplored by tourists. During the bloggers conference I've become interested in traveling and exploring Ozamis and thanks to Direk John Villarin for the tips. I'll definitely watch Sa Ngalan ng Ama, Ina at ng mga Anak on Jan. 29 owing the obligation to share learnings about history and more Philippine culture to my students. What have we yet to learn about our own culture and what made Kuratong Baleleng in the 80s when internet wasn't even born? What was the story behind the influence of this family that inspired vigilants of today?
