Event: Reliving the culture of Pinoy action movies in #SakaSaka #Cinebro #MMFF2013

Action movies used to be the reason Pinoys flock the movie theaters in the 80s. Cinebro's Richard Reynante and Direk Toto Natividad with Ejay Falcon and Joseph Marco joined the bloggers last Sunday at Whistlestop Bar and Restaurant ABS-CBN branch in an afternoon of reliving the fun in Filipino action movies with its maiden 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival New Wave Full Length Feature Film "Saka Saka" about political assassins in the north.
Direk Toto Natividad shared to us the foray of exciting action scenes from Saka Saka which came earlier than the previous teleserye with Ejay Falcon at Dugong Buhay in ABS-CBN. While Joseph Marco's gaining more recognition playing Eli in ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida TV series "Honesto", he was acknowledged playing the brother of Ejay Falcon in the movie about siblings in circumstances that drove them to become political assassins. Executive Producer Richard Reynante was optimistic that soon the Pinoy movie-goers will hunger for the genre that once ignited the movie theatres to love action.
Written by Direk Toto Natividad in collaboration with Willy Laconsay and Manuel R. Buising, the film also stars Baron Geisler, Toby Alejar, Perla Bautista, Kathleen Hermosa introducing Akiko Solomon and Martin Imperial. Saka Saka will be shown in SM Megamall and Glorietta starting December 18-24 being an official entry to the New Wave Full Feature Film category of the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival. For while we contemplate on scenes predictable with lines before the actual shots and hitting scenes, will the movie remind us of a familiar political personality? Let's all watch Saka Saka starting December 18 at Megamall and Glorietta!
