One of the most important modern-day heroes of this generation - the call center workers need recognition. Last Monday at the Star Creatives conference room, stars of Skylight Films and Star Cinema's latest comedy flick, Call Center Girl joined the bloggers in a fun-filled afternoon of speaking English and appreciating mother and daughter relationships many of us these days neglect because of erratic work schedules. Pokwang, Sweet John Lapus together with Enchong Dee, Ejay Falcon, Alex Castro with Director Don Cuaresma and writers of the film laughed and shared stories of experiencing call center industry's lifestyle filming this pre-Christmas and one of Star Cinema's 20th anniversary offering.
Focusing on Pokwang and Jessy Mendiola's first mother and daughter tandem on-screen, Call Center Girl will show the hilarious wits and twists of Pokwang as the mother trying to win her daughter's (played by Jessy Mendiola) love after years of inevitable circumstances of being an OFW and losing contact with her family. Sweet John Lapus also shared to us how many of his friends in the call center suffer from loss of sleep and how uncanny activities become for these "bayaning puyat" everyday. The stars shared sympathy to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda and hoped the movie will at least lift the spirits of the majority still mourning over the loss of their family.
Call Center Girl also stars Chokoleit, K Brosas, Ogie Diaz, Aaron Villaflor, Dianne Medina, Natasha Cabrera with the special participation of Jestoni Alarcon, Janice De Belen, Jayson Gainza, Thou Reyes and Pooh. I'm also so excited to watch this movie as schools these days celebrate English Month reflecting on the call center jobs my students will soon pursue. Let's not miss this hilarious movie showing on November 27, 2013 at all cinemas nationwide.
