Event: #OTJBloggersConference #OnTheJob #blogcon with #PioloPascual #JoeyMarquez and Director #ErikMatti

The Filipino heeds a different genre of action movies and Star Cinema is ready to deliver redefining Filipino action and suspense with its latest movie entry to Cannes Film Festival, On The Job. Award-winning director Erik Matti with the ultimate leading man Piolo Pascual and Showbiz Inside Report's comedian/host Joey Marquez shared so many interesting stories about their experience in France and the hardwork that paid off making OTJ with the bloggers last Sunday at ABS-CBN. OTJ gathers the biggest stars of this generation with Gerald Anderson, Piolo Pascual, Joel Torre, Joey Marquez, Vivian Velez, Angel Aquino, Shaina Magdayao, Empress, Dawn Jimenez, Leo Martinez and Rayver Cruz.
We started with Direk Erik Matti's story of how he was inspired to make action after the thriller/horror genres of Tiktik:The Aswang Chronicles. According to him, a driver once told him of a story about assassins in prison and the thrill of simply creating the movie prompted him to enjoin Piolo Pascual to inspire others. He was actually surprised that Piolo Pascual would agree and when Piolo chose to play Atty. Francis Coronel, he was even more delighted as he imagined the handsome actor to be the lead. Piolo was said to be the reason why Gerald Anderson to play Daniel and Joel Torre as Tatang. I was intrigued at how the scenes from the trailer sending all to bat an eyelash.
Sir Joey Marquez was regarded favorite of Direk Erik Matti saying Joey is a different kind of comedian. He is just too adorable to resist that his character provides the catalyst in all Direk's films. I concurred recalling Joey in Tiktik movie always being the man that he is which Direk Erik Matti referred to as - "kupal" yet too adorable. Piolo then recounted the moment he felt so proud being a Filipino at the Cannes Film Festival in France last May. When all the viewers during the screening was glued to the seat, he was nervous to hear whispers and comments. The most glorifying moment he recalled was when the movie had ended and all the directors and viewers at Cannes stood and clapped for them. It was his first time witnessing a standing ovation and it was his first time feeling proud as a Filipino at Cannes. The stars and the directors said how expensive the movie was but the standing ovation at Cannes and the appreciation they keep getting paid off the anxiety. This is Star Cinema's opportunity sharing the pride of the country starting August 28, 2013 at all cinemas. Would you miss what the world applauded at Cannes?
