A good restaurant serves best-tasting dishes but the best will provide not just delicious food but outstanding service. Ms. Maritess Ang of King Chef Chinese Restaurant did not expect her resto to flourish with growing branches since she started last year in Banawe Quezon City branch. A year of celebrating Chinese cuisine with foodies, she celebrated with the media and suppliers King Chef's Lucky Chinatown Mall last Saturday. The ambiance filled with authentic Chinese dishes aroma made all of our stomachs grumbling and true enough, the parade of dishes came after a short introduction and prayer was led by the host who is a doctor by profession.
I really enjoy conversations while eating and Chinese lauriat gives the pleasure of doing all that and more at King Chef. We had the opportunity to join in the games and our table won during the picture frame activity. I had to act as a pregnant woman delivering a baby when the scene "delivery room" was given to us.
While there were fun games and surprises, the dishes kept coming. From appetizers Assorted Cold Cuts Combination came Dumplings in Seafood Spinach Soup, Deep Fried Suahe with Salted Egg, Stir-Fried Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Spareribs with Eight Spices, Stuffed Eggplant in Japanese Sauce, Fried King Fish in Mango Sauce, Typhoon Shelter Crabs and Birthday Noodles. While everyone praised the Typhoon Shelter Crabs, I could not forget the texture and spices of the Stuffed Eggplant in Japanese Sauce. Apparently the said dish also captivated our famous balladeer Martin Nievera when he paid a visit to King Chef. The celebration capped off with a celebratory toast with the Ang Family and the staff of King Chef Lucky Chinatown Mall. We enjoyed the Mango Balls and the Gourmet Masterpieces' entry of King Chef Fish Gelatin along with the cupcakes and slices of goodies from the dessert table. Megaworld Lifestyle Malls really ensure that the business tenants will flourish matching perfect businesses at perfect location.
