It was the first time Circuit Makati holding a concert and a skating exhibition with international bands, We Are In The Crowd, MayDay Parade, Downtown Fiction, This Century, All Star Weekend, Before You Exit, Yellow Card with the YouTube hit wonder Megan Nicole and two of the most exciting skaters of the world, Tony Hawk's Rily Hawk and Fil-Am Willy Santos demo jaw-dropping skating tricks last night at Circuit Makati.
Hosted by Glee's resident rocker and bad boy Mark Sailing, Circuit Fest 2013 rocked the house down with endless screams from the fans enjoying the variety of music from these famous international bands simultaneously with skaters and non-skaters performed tricks. They were all excited during the press conference last Friday at Buddha Bar, Picar Place Makati and a few of them who had been in the Philippines in the past shared to the other band members how Filipinos were just hospitable and accommodating. They all hoped to have more time to stay to visit some places and beaches in the country next time as they have set the group's Asian tour on a limited time only. What's most interesting was their emphasis on shows to help solving the problem of Music Piracy in the Philippines. They all agreed saying, holding concerts actually give support to the local music industry better because selling albums during the show proved more effective rather than having artists promote downloading music online. As one of them shared, "You can download music but watching the show and experiencing the bands perform live is different altogether". Friends and family who watched the Circuit Fest 2013 all expressed their hopes to have another one next year after its successful show last night despite the rains. Circuit Makati's Circuit Fest 2013 Music and Skate Festival was made possible in partnership with Music Management International with sponsors Make It Makati, Ayala Malls, Alveo, Avida, Globe, Bench, Buddha Bar, MasterCard, Hotel International Manila, Holiday Inn, Jack TV, ETC, Monster Radio RX 93.1, Mercato Centrale and Our Awesome Planet.
