A lively AshLloyd true to their characters Laida and Miggy joined us for It Takes A Man And A Woman bloggers conference along with the writer Ms. Carmi and famous Director Cathy Garcia Molina last March 21, 2013 at the Star Creatives Group ABS-CBN I didn't expect to have the opportunity to interview both of the main stars John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo with their busy schedule. They were apologetic for coming late although we have not felt the time because of fun gagging at each other in the Star Creatives Group conference room.
Four years after their 2nd movie together as Laida and Miggy, they shared how the characters they played evolved in time like their personal lives. The first movie "A Very Special Love" according to Direk Cathy Garcia Molina was a hit with a plot most Pinoys can relate so they followed up with "You Changed My Life" following what happened to the characters. The story of Laida and Miggy had a happy ending then and what happens after a happy ending is Star Cinema's latest Laida and Miggy sequel, "It Takes A Man And A Woman". This time, Isabelle Daza plays the girlfriend of Miggy to which Laida (Sarah) will have opportunities to challenge.
Like what John Lloyd Cruz had mentioned during the bloggers conference, there are so many Laida in the country and when asked if he is like Miggy, he replied that he is not that rich as what we all speculate. He shared sympathy to the many women today who goes through the same pain as Laida and shares his own opinions on what to say to his own character if given a chance. Ms. Carmi (the writer) also shared to us how she had to consult the actors for the image of the character considering if it matches their preferences. I believe it's such a challenge for the scriptwriter to write a successful sequel. The movie lines from "A Very Special Love" spread to all parts and regions in the country just like "You Changed My Life".
It was somehow surprising that Ms. Carmi in collaboration with Direk Cathy Garcia Molina had no difficulties creating twists that will get the viewers excited. It was fun watching the trailer of Laida Version 2.0 with lines, fiercer, braver and stronger. We have all noticed also how Sarah Geronimo had become stronger, fiercer and braver like Laida except that circumstances were different because she did not try to win back her love interest. Will Laida and Miggy have a happy ending? Let's all watch "It Takes A Man And A Woman" on March 30, 2013 Easter Sunday at all cinemas nationwide. It's the perfect time to be entertained and if the beach or the sun is just too hard to handle these days, we can always seek comfort in the mall and be entertained by Laida and Miggy in "It Takes A Man And A Woman".
