It's always heartbreaking to witness a mother longing for a child. Mamang Pokwang of ABS-CBN's top rating Primetime Bida fanta-serye "Aryana" remembered her own memories of losing a child during the Thanksgiving Party held at ELJ Building in ABS-CBN compound last night. Attended by distinguished members of the entertainment press, it was such an honor to witness the cast sharing their experiences and what they have all learned from the teleserye bound to bid goodbye on January 21, 2013.
Pokwang playing Aryana's mother Ofelia recalled the scene with Victor (Tonton Gutierrez) when she was left only with a bib as a memory of her lost child. Present during the presscon were Aryana (Ella Cruz), Direk Laurice Guillen, Bianca Manalo, Dominic Roque, Paul Salas, Francis Maguindayao, Michelle Vito, Ella Cruz, Lotlot De Leon and Ms. G. Tongi. Direk Erick Salud also joined the presscon sharing his memorable experiences with the cast.
Ella Cruz had become more beautiful giggling at the press' questions on her crush from other programs in ABS-CBN. Paul Salas recalled his memorable fight with Dominic Roque whom he considers a very strong man while the others commended Pokwang's constant care and nurturing bringing food all the time during the taping. Ms. G. Tongi had similar unforgettable experience during the slapping scene with Direk Laurice Guillen playing Stella and Elnora. The last scenes will be the moments when Aryana (Ella Cruz) will finally recover the pearl to get her real legs back and the truth on her identity will be revealed. I was in awe at Pokwang who values the importance of education reflecting on the character of Aryana (Ella) , the mermaid who is determined to get her legs back so she can go to school. It is indeed true these days that many students with normal physique and no disabilities tend to become so indifferent and lazy going to school. Sometimes the physically-challenged are more inspirational moving mountains just to get to school. May all children who religiously watch Aryana learn from her attitude and passion to studying.
Towards the end of the presscon, Eric John Salut and Aaron Domingo dimmed the lights and introduced the newest child stars of ABS-CBN, Lara Claire Sabroso and Julia Klarisse Base starring in the newest teleserye, "May Isang Pangarap" replacing "Aryana" on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.
