Dreams do come true in ABS-CBN. Out of the thousands of children aspirants who joined audition to be a star two stood out at the crowd and captivated the network's giants now starring in the much anticipated teleserye replacing "Aryana", "May Isang Pangarap" is a product of the direction of the phenomenal "Aryana" and the blockbuster "Walang Hanggan", Direk Erick Salud and Direk Jerry Lopez Sineneng. In the grand presscon held last night at Teatrino Greenhills, San Juan, veteran stars Shamaine Buencamino, Bembol Roco, Gloria Diaz, Dennis Padilla, Valerie Concepcion joined Carmina Villaroel, Vina Morales and Rico Blanco introducing Larah Claire Sabroso from Davao City and Julia Klarise Base from Pasig in promoting "May Isang Pangarap" with Erin Ocampo, Dominic Roque and Ron Morales.
It was Rico Blanco's first time joining a teleserye and he grown fond of the role considering that it has something related to his craft- singing. Gloria Diaz will play the guardian of Kare (Vina Morales) whose dream failed after being left with a daughter of her sister played by Vina Morales. Bembol Roco as "Turing" will be the love interest of Gloria Diaz playing Olivia Rodriguez. Larah Claire Sabroso sang along with Julia Base a heartwarming rendition of Angeline Quinto's "Patuloy ang Pangarap".
I could not help but stare in awe at the girls singing with emotions the song that launched their first teleserye. From the TVC aired on ABS-CBN, it seemed common and simply a great cover but watching them perform live the song was quite an experience. They really have powerful voices and you'd feel the passion and determination to be a star behind their innocent faces. Larah is from Davao City and she is the first in the family to make a dream come true. Julia is another child wonder that stood out from all the kids who auditioned from Pasig City with such particular charm and wit captivating anyone she comes across.
I love that the story will feature the role of mothers again being the most important character to change and influence the lives of children. "May Isang Pangarap" will definitely get the children to understand the plight of their mothers and the mothers to realize their decisions will make and break a dream. I'm so excited to watch Bembol and Gloria, Carmina, Vina and Rico and the two kids, Larah and Julia in "May Isang Pangarap" and discuss the scenes with my students starting January 21, 2013 on ABS-CBN!
