Marvin Agustin named Young Entrepreneur of the Year

A true inspiration of the youth today. He started helping his mom with finances as a service crew of a doughnut chain when he was young and dreamt to have his own restaurant. The dream came true and actor, chef, restaurateur and entrepreneur Marvin Agustin was recently awarded by SGV Foundation's Ernst and Young as Young Entrepreneur of the Year at Makati Shangrila Hotel last week. Truly deserving to have achieve recognition for his efforts as the owner of SumoSam Foods Inc., where Mr. Kurosawa, John and Yoko, Johnny Chow and the newest Tokyo Grill by SumoSam was born. He is an epitome of a businessman with a heart, more than being a prolific actor/producer. Amazing how his eyes were skimming in the Bible reading that fate will change at the same moment his name was called during the Entrepreneur of the Year awards. Sharing the stage with fellow finalists, Raul M. Ang of Maxima Machineries Incorporated, Jaime I. Ayala of Hybrid Social Solutions, Inc., Antonette P. De Guzman and Carolina Osteria of ACM Landholdings Inc., Venus C. Genson of Art N'Nature Manufacturing Corporation, Raoul Roberto Goco of Cyma Greek Taverna Co., Ronald P. Guzman MD of Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines, Raphael T. Juan of Centro Marketing Corporation, Amelia D. Today, he is busy with events, concerts and shows at his Futuretainment Inc., and Media Nation Inc. bringing famous foreign acts in the Philippines like Bruno Mars etc. His restos have achieved awards already like Best Operations Award from Ayala Merchant Awards in 2009 and Most Promising Restaurant in 2008 for John and Yoko and Mr. Kurosawa in Eastwood Libis as Philippine Tatler's Best Restaurants in 2009.
