Mommies are the unsung heroes of Christmas every year. The new Kraft Eden's Sarap ng Pasko made me cry realizing my own struggles every year during Christmas. On its 4th year of celebrating Christmas with Sarap ng Pasko, 2012's theme dubbed "Dahil Sa 'Yo Ma" launched with the media at Chef Laudico's Bistro Filipino was made extra special with dishes made with Kraft Eden Cheese, games and surprises understanding what mothers sacrifice working every Christmas. Hosted by Ms. Suzi Entrata, the event featured the tribute to all mothers in the Philippines haggling in shopping malls, gift wrapping and decorating workshops.
Upon entrance at Chef Laudico's Bistro Filipino, we were greeted by wine and cheese-infused appetizers personally created by Chef Jackie and Roland Laudico of Chef Laudico's Bistro Filipino. The tables filled with Christmas balls of red, green, gold and silver, wreaths well-lit and the tunes of the Yuletide season made me feel the Christmas spirit before the event.
When the event started, the Mandaluyong Children's Choir sang a beautiful Christmas Carol. I remembered how Dimples Romana last year accused me of being a kidnapper because of snatching one of the cute tiny singers from the group for a photo-op. Times have definitely changed but Kraft Eden Cheese had always stayed in our dishes and our hearts. While Ms. Suzi Entrata related how mothers have definitely consistently been the most hardworking person at Christmas, I remembered how I love to haggle in Divisoria and I cried because it was always my mom who taught me how to cut the price in half by haggling and she had not been coming to the Philippines since 2001. A Christmas Decoration Workshop was taught to us participated by blogger Iris Pulga and I learned a lot how to wrap wine bottles for gifts at the giftwrapping workshop conducted during the event.
While we were participating in the workshops, I couldn't help but cry remembering my own mom. Chef Jackie and Roland made a wonderful Christmas Parol Molo Soup which was even made special with lights that lit at the bottom. Everyone was in awe at their masterpiece participated wrapping the molo infused with Kraft Eden Cheese with blogger/friend Arpee Lazaro.
My mom also loved the Molo Soup and I've always anticipated her dishes. After the event, I couldn't help but call my mom in the States to tell her how much I miss her. Christmas is indeed about moms working for the Media Noche and Kraft Eden Cheese had always been a favorite not only on Christmas but every single day of the year. Since my mom left, it had always been a headache searching for recipes and looking for best dishes to serve. Thank you Kraft Eden Cheese for consistently inspiring us all mothers to cook and work for Christmas like we always do. You have always been a life-saviour. When dishes need a little help for taste and presentation, Kraft Eden Cheese had always been the best. I would also like to thank my own mom who had always been the best mother in the world. Dahil Sa Yo Ma. Ok I will try to stop crying now.
