They are flowers and they've got power. Popular rock band Callalily recently held a bloggers conference launching their newest album under Universal Records, Flower Power. The album to be launched on Oct. 12, 2012 at Eastwood Central Plaza contains songs that the band celebrates, new beginnings, friendships and good music.
It was a fun tamed afternoon with the band, Kean Cipriano, Tatsi Jamnaque, Aaron Ricafrente and Lemuel Befaro who shared their exciting musical performances for the launch. Bloggers had a chance to interview the band and I was startled to realize that Lem was actually the son of the makers of my fave candy, Lala. Teens and more students will come cheering for Callalily especially now that Cybercrime Law was recently signed by the President.
The album includes the single, "Pasasalamat", the best-selling single at www.mymusicstore.com.ph and trended on Twitter during the day of the release. I had a chance to ask a question to the band although I was not physically present thru a tweet by a blogger friend. When I've asked them of their favorite flower, each of them answered the flowers endemic of the Philippine flora and common to all Pinoys, Santan, White Rose, Franzipani and of course, Callalily.
I found it odd for the band to be serious during the bloggers conference but I guess, for the benefit of their image as a band, sometimes, they all have to fold and take things seriously as most bloggers were serious with their questions about the album and the band. I'm so excited to watch them perform on Oct.12, 2012 at Eastwood Central Plaza. Follow Calllalily on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/VerifiedCallalily and on Twitter @callalilyband.
