Who'll be out at XFactor Philippines this week? Martin Nievera's Kedebon Colim was out last week just a few days after the media and the entertainment bloggers gathered to celebrate the XFactor Philippines experience at the Dolphy Theater in ABS-CBN. Sitting in as judge/mentors from the entertainment press were Leo Bukas, Mario Bautista and Mdme. Ethel Ramos. Hosted by KC Concepcion, the six finalists from Charice's Girls Allen Sta. Maria, KZ Tandingan, Gary Valenciano's Daddy's Home and Martin Nievera's Boys' Gab Maturan, Jeric Medina and Kedebon Colim.
The media mentors shared their own remarks at each performances of the six contenders exciting the judges present, Ms. Pilita Corrales, Martin Nievera and Gary Valenciano. Question and answers right after the performances gave the media a comprehensive interview about the show and each of finalists' perception of the show.
I cried at Gab Maturan who sang "Dance With My Father" reminding me of my former principal who stood as my father for quite sometime. I really loved the way he sang the song with such heart and soul and he will continue to keep my vote despite the outstanding song and dance performance of KZ Tandingan.
Kedebon Colim had an XFactor being so sincere with all his responses about the show. It was not too long ago when he started to gain attention and with Martin Nievera's crusade to help him with his lifestyle, Kedebon Colim will surely soar as a star if not a singer after XFactor Philippines.
My bet to leave this week is Daddy's Home because no group had ever won a talent search if not restricted to simply groups ever in the history of reality shows in the Philippines. I truly admire their passion to create beautiful harmony and songs to touch the hearts of the fathers out there.
The beautiful and talented KZ Tandingan may be the biggest contender being voted by all six to be the toughest act to beat in the finals. It must've been hardwork and discipline to get every act perfect every single performance that made her stand out from the rest. KZ is a tough nut to crack and is definitely at par with world-class singers abroad.
Towards the end of the show, Gary and Martin shared their most memorable memories with the contestants and had grown a relationship they wish to keep even after XFactor Philippines first season's finale. The voice of who'd really win the first XFactor Philippines lie on the hands of those who will vote. Gary V was passionately sharing how the text votes will influence the decision in the grand finale soon happening at ABS-CBN. I'd vote for Gabriel Maturan not just out of sympathy from his roots deciding to come home with her mother who had lost faith and fate abroad, but because of his potential as a singer in the country soon bringing more international recognition as a true blue Pinoy talent.
