Hailed recently as the Ambassador for Peace by no less than the President of the Philippines, Gloc9 continues to soar with his wits and talent as the most respected rapper in the country. It was an honor having the chance to interview a genius in Aristotle Pollisco aka Gloc9.
He shared to us all how he started in the music industry wanting to follow the singers he adored while studying. Aristotle (Gloc9) is a nursing graduate and although he cannot practice the profession because of his career in music, he continues to share his passion to learn more than he planned about his profession and his craft in the music industry.
I love his #sirena song included in Universal Records Philippines' Mga Kwento ng Makata MKNM album. One of the most unforgettable songs in Filipino with lines like, ""Isang gabi ako'y iyong tinawag, lumapit ako sayong tabi ika'y tumangan, kumapit ka sa aking kamay, kahit hirap magsalita, "Anak, patawad sana sa lahat ng aking nagawa, di sinusukat ang tapang at ang bigote sa mukha dahil kung minsan MAS LALAKI PA SA LALAKI ANG BAKLA" teaches of understanding, awareness and compassion to gays. I truly admire his humility, wit and humor singing and rapping with famous singers in the country. I hope he continues to inspire the youth today with more songs. Educate the educated and more importantly the unabashed culture of indifference in this country through music. Congratulations Gloc9 and more power to your endeavors!
