Oakley's eyewear now has more for the eye and what suits the eye. I've known more about Oakley and their new products attending Oakley's Beyond Reason, Break on Through Fashion Show at NBC Tent, The Fort, Bonifacio Global City last Friday night.
We've known Oakley for High Definition Optics Technology offering Polarized, Hydrophobic, Photochromic and RX Sun lenses engineered best to give the best eye protection. Last Friday, they have unveiled more products soon to gain popularity among sports lovers and not. Filled with dignitaries, foreigners and other celebrities (Ms. Gloria Diaz and Robin Nievera), Oakley had booths like the Scope Machine which lets you see for yourself the quality of the eye wear you use, Blade II Board Shorts booth showing water-proof, scratch-proof Flash Board Shorts made of O Stretch ripstop, Ellipse SS Rashguard made with movement-free stretch and flatlock seams to keep you looking good while enjoying your favorite water sports, Hypercoil LX sandals with straps coated with leather offering cushion and long-haul comfort of Red Code technology with precision-tuned shock absorption, Operative Slide sandal with shock-absorbing Eva beneath it to ensure all-day comfort and Microban to keep things fresh against microbes that cause odor on your feet and more products for you to marvel.
Oakley now also had bags, backpak and shoes aside from shorts. I love that they called them Bathroom Sink Pack which lets you muzzle and organize your things equipped with dedicated pocket for your media player, complete soft-brushed lining and a port for your headphone cable. The Kitchen Sink Backpack also offer mobile phone pocket to a padded sleeve that holds a laptop up to "17. It has a storage compartment for the eyewear if not for your media player, cable zipper that lets you add a lock to secure the main component.
Oakley Golf includes Grid Polo crafted with mesh panels to let your underarms breathe and O Hydrolix to manage the moisture of perspiration. It also offers antibacterial action, UV protection and freedom of movement, Engineered Polo with special resilient stretch anatomical seams for the right fit and feel, Oakley Cipher golf shoe being the first shoe to have NanoSpike technology that allows your feet to be closer to the ground to better balance, Radarlock revolutionary eyewear with Switchlock Technology that makes lens changing fast and hassle-free, Rider Bag made to ride well on golf carts with Red Code strap for cushion comfort, Oakley Gearbox timepiece with precision of Swiss movement in a sculpture of stainless steel, Oakley Minute Machine watch with Ultra-lightweight metal to create the micro-adjustment links made of a true Swiss Made Chronograph with 13-jewel movement able to measure cumulative time, intermediate time and split time.
Models showed the latest with Oakley Active Lifestyle featuring top of the line items like Deviation eyewear with lightweight frame of C-5 alloy with unique square lens shape and all-day comfort of sure-grip Unobtainium Premium optical technologies, Short Circuit Pack for short sessions and engineered with Red Code back panel and shoulder straps, Mid Circuit Pack that can hold 100 ounces of refreshment along with your tools, helmet, media player and eyewear, Oakley Full Circuit Day Pack which can be used by students holding laptops up to 15" and reflective bits to help keep you visible at night.
Other products worn by the models were the Square Me Tee carrying the unique emblem of Oakley Supercoil 4 Slide sandals with Red Code shock absorption and Microban antimicrobial treatment, Supercoil 3 also with Red Code foam shaping for the comfort of your foot with midsoles and attenuated shock absorption and Unobtainium rubber outsole that grips the ground for sure footing, Oakley Prime crafted with a soft genuine leather liner and a premium full-grain and nubuck leather strap.
I've probably mentioned too many products and too many original technology terms by Oakley but the bottom line is that they have more in store for the sports-loving Filipinos now. From eyewear, Oakley now boasts of high-quality bags, straps, shoes and clothing equipped with the advanced technology every Filipino needs. I had a great time being in the middle of the stage along with other VIP guests (as a PWD) and have seen clothing, accessories, shoes and bags I'd look forward to buying for school opening on June. Dinner was served by the accommodating and friendly staff of Grappas Restaurant (located at Greenbelt 3, Makati). For more information:
