Event: World Vision meets the bloggers!

What can P20 do? Aside from the popular snack we view daily on television, P20 can actually sponsor a child today with World Vision Philippines. It was my first time to attend a World Vision event with fellow bloggers last Thursday at their office in Quezon Avenue and I've learned more of what they have been working for the advocacy aside from sending more underprivileged children to schools.
I've read once Adam Levine tweeted: "Capitalizing on people's sadness should be illegal."and being in the public schools for more than ten years, I have also given support and scholarships to some selected students who have paid in gratitude by being successful in their own fields of expertise through these years. I have remained silent. This was the reason I folded when  I was asked and invited to sponsor a child because it will really just take P20/day. I would really prefer not to announce and just simply enjoy the moment of helping without having to shout to the world about it.
Since 1996, I've seen their office grow from the former office near my alma mater at Maginhawa St. Quezon City and they have been supported by famous stars, Lea Salonga, Sam Concepcion, Derek Ramsey and the others. I would not fret to also promote the advocacy and join the pledge to sponsor because it just takes P600/month to make any child's dream come true with World Vision Philippines
I've learned also that World Vision Philippines do not just sponsor a child to school, they also help empower these underprivileged children with skills by conducting training and workshops during summer to further seed hope not just for their poor families but the whole country.
World Vision Philippines invests in communities with initiatives to help build their own unique potentials. I'm so excited to participate as trainer of their training initiatives and I would definitely support their projects because I love my country.
Have the heart to give at World Vision Philippines. After all, it just takes P20/day to give hope to a child today. If you cannot, at least vote for stars trying to raise P1M for World Vision Philippines like Sam Concepcion at http://www.benchtm.com/1m41m/
