Event: Malunggay Pandesal with bottomless Coffee and new Dinner Meals at Figaro

I promised to lose weight but I can't help it. I didn't feel guilty after binging on food again last Friday at the launch of Malunggay Pandesal and new Dinner Meals at Figaro Shangrila Mall.
From the look of the pandesal, I thought it would taste a bit bitter or leafy like those I've tried with other healthy food restos but Figaro's Malunggay Pandesal surprised me with such a classic pandesal taste. In two choices of filling, Tuna and Asado (P99 with bottomless brewed coffee), it's actually a great deal to avail from 7am to 10am at all Figaro stores because each sold separately after will cost you P45 for each bun and P85 for a cup. It'll make you want to enjoy meetings and early morning meet-ups now at Figaro with their new Malunggay Pandesal. What's good to know is also the fact that it's made of dried Malunggay (Moringa) leaves have the calcium equivalent of 4 glasses of milk, the Vitamin C content of 7 oranges, potasssium of 3 bananas, 3 times the iron of spinach, 4 times the amount of Vitamin A in carrot and 2 times the protein in milk (according to the Bureau of Plant Industry). This and more reason made me believe I should not feel guilty eating in the morning at Figaro
Figaro also launched their new healthy Dinner Meals - Chicken Rice Bake (P150 with lemonade) and Tofu Steak Rice (P150 with lemonade). Chicken Rice Bake is a cup of flavorful chicken strips, bell peppers, onions, carrots, mushrooms and rice baked and topped with melted mozzarella cheese. It will remind you of our paella without the spices and the saffron flavor. It's one complete meal without the guilt because they used only the chicken meat (keeping you away from eating the skin) and it was really flavorful and filling. It looked small after the the surprising delicious flavor on the first bite but it felt heavy because of the rice. The lemonade was just a perfect beverage to the meal.
Tofu Steak Rice is a bowl of tofu chunks crisp-fried and glazed in sweet Teriyaki sauce and onions drizzled with sesame seeds served with steamed rice and garnished with parsley. It's a perfect meal for the weight-watchers after that holiday food binge because it's meaty without the meat. It made me want to be vegan because it was really so delicious.
Figaro also offers their new drinks with Milk Tea Craze. I've tried their Taro Chiller(P100)taro ice-blended milk drink topped with corn flakes, tapioca pearls with egg pudding, Taro Milk with Pudding (P89) taro milk tea with sweet egg pudding, Strawberry Milk Tea with Yakult (P90) milk tea-based drink infused with Yakult, Raspberry Milk Tea with Yakult (P90) and Strawberry Lemon Iced Tea (P75) simple strawberry and lemon flavored iced tea with lemon slices.
My favorite used to be the Strawberry Milk Tea with Yakult but now I've chosen the Taro Chiller like the others because of the tapioca pearls, egg pudding and the corn flakes toppings. They're all very good and really refreshing to share with people who do not drink coffee. I love how Figaro always comes up with new products that fit my plan to health and nutrition.
