It's a different experience being with bloggers. This is what I've heard from Judy Ann Santos and now Bossing Vic Sotto at the Bloggers Conference for M-ZET Films, OctoArts Films, APT Entertainment and Star Cinema's 2011 MMFF entry, "Enteng ng Ina Mo" held last Monday at Cravings, Katipunan QC. I've covered the presscon of his previous movie, "Pak Pak My Dr. Kwak" months ago and it was my first time to be seated next to the icon of Philippine movies. It isn't a wonder why women would swoon over a Vic Sotto because he's truly smart and witty in English and in Filipino. You can tell by the way he answers the questions that he gained confidence of setting trends in making Filipino comedy movies through these years.
It was the acceptance speech of AiAi Delas Alas last year winning Best Actress in the 2010 MMFF that Bossing Vic Sotto personally saw that made the movie "Enteng ng Ina Mo" a reality. The formula of a family movie with a father fighting against the elements in the Enteng movies and a mother withstanding too many children and constantly dying spouses in Ai Ai's Ina series that makes this new movie a perfect formula for a blockbuster this 2011 MMFF.
My mom vouched for this improbable casting the moment she saw the trailer. Directed by Tony Y. Reyes and produced by M-ZET Films, OctoArts Films, APT Entertainment and Star Cinema, "Enteng ng Ina Mo" stars both Enteng and Ina movie powerhouse cast, Oyo Boy Sotto, Marvin Agustin, Carlo Aquino, Alwyn Uytingco, Nikki Valdez, Aiza Seguerra, Bing Loyzaga, Amy Perez, Gwen Zamora, Ruby Rodriguez, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Xyriel Manabat with a special participation of Eugene Domingo. Along with Vic Sotto and Ai Ai Delas Alas, the movie also stars Thou Reyes, Ciara Sotto, Megan Young, Mikylla Ramirez, Owie Boy Gapuz, Jon Avila, Cecil Paz, Gerhard Acao with the special participation of Fritz Ynfante and Lara Quigaman.
Bossing Vic Sotto is a darling not just to the girls who dream of a perfect man but as a father because he's truly affectionate and kind. I am humbled at his genuine appreciation of bloggers during the event. I am watching the movie, "Enteng ng Ina Mo" to observe the details of how the costumes for the Ina Montecillo cast will place in the movie with Enteng Kabisote's family. I'm also looking forward to the spoof scenes from other movies done by Bossing Vic Sotto for the first time. It's a perfect family bonding movie on December 25, 2011!
Catch "Enteng ng Ina Mo" in more than 100 theaters nationwide this Christmas! SM Cinemas announced they'd open their theaters as early as 9:00am to give way to the families heading to all the malls starting December 25, 2011!
