Event: Kapamilya Media Christmas Party 2011

Da best talaga ang pasko sa Kapamilya! I've been fortunate to attend the Kapamilya Media Christmas Party last Friday at the Dolphy Theater of ABS-CBN and was able to experience a one-of-a-kind Christmas Party with fellow bloggers. I have supported some of the shows and movies from Kapamilya for the benefit of my students who love the famous celebrities of ABS-CBN and for the joy of sharing information not accessible to all.
I entered the ABS-CBN compound surprisingly being asked by Mr. Noli De Castro about my left feet and he expressed his willingness to help though he was already asked to board for his radio show that day. The party started with a few traditional media attending the Thanksgiving Mass inside the Chapel where I was also asked to offer the flowers together with a friend from pep.ph, Reema. When the crowd started registering, it took just a few minutes before the glee on Christmas door prizes were instantly given to all early birds. The Hat Theme Party was seriously an effort done by some of the traditional media and it was spectacular to witness the different materials used like recycled paper and some improvised designs.
The star of the Christmas feast was Hecky's Lechon, oven-baked, less-fat Cebu-Style Lechon that everyone enjoyed dipped with spiced vinegar.
Momblogger friend Jing reminded me of my diet and asked me to stay away after two helpings of these yummy and crunchy oven-baked lechon from Hecky's.
I've tried avoiding the carbs but these yummy "kakanin" were just too hard to resist especially the okoy (shrimp crisps) and ensaladang mangga (green mango salad).
Soon after, I've started laughing at the gags and games hosted by the Happy Yipee Yehey hosts, Rico J. Puno, John Estrada and Randy Santiago.
After the first batch of raffle and games participated by all media participants was the most unforgettable My Girl 2011 contest joined by the gays and guys from the press. I was able to recognize most of them who I have brushed shoulders with during events and it was really surprising to watch them strut in long gowns and deliver their funny pick-up lines. My head started to ache from constantly laughing my heart out because of the QandA. I lost track anymore of whose names were called and who won because of too much laughter.
Judged by our very famous beauty queens, Ms. Shamcey Supsup, Diane Necio and Isabelle Manjon assisted by BRB (Boys R Boys), Alex Castro, JM De Guzman and Brian Termulo, the pageant's 2nd runner up Rodel Fernando (Moviestar Magazine), 1st runner-up, Alex Brosas (Bandera) and this year's My Girl 2011 John Fontanilla (Police Files Tonite) accepted their crowns and prizes assisted by hosts Jobert Sucaldito and Ahwell Paz of DZMM's "Mismo".  My heart was really filled with joy from the fun of watching the show of media participants who joined the My Girl 2011. I was even happier seeing my name drawn winning some cash prize after the event. It was one Christmas party I will never forget and I would forever cherish this experience for the rest of my life. The event was organized by ABS-CBN Corporate Communications sponsored by Cut-Encarnacion, UK Derma Pharma, Erase Solutions and Hecky's Lechon.
Truly, "Da best ang Pasko sa Kapamilya". Thank you ABS-CBN!
