Event: The Kitchen Musical Gala Night

World-class! That I believe our Filipino talents have proven celebrating the first season of The Kitchen Musical Gala Night at the Hotel Intercontinental Makati.
I have patronized The Kitchen Musical especially the episode where Christian Bautista (Daniel) sang "Every Breath You Take" falling in love with Karylle (Maddie Avilon). This Singaporean musical TV drama shown in 19 countries across Asia had gained popularity in other parts of the globe which captivated the interests of the American audience now producing their own version of it in the works. This was announced at the Gala Dinner and more surprises after the successful launch last October this year.
Guests were treated to a delectable 4-course dinner serenaded with the country's top performers, Jay-R, Marie Digby, Pilipinas Got Talent's 2011 grand winner Lucky Twins, Zia Quizon (Karylle's sister and Zsa Zsa's daughter from Dolphy) and the Filipino cast performing their notable dance and song numbers from the show. Present also in the event were Zsa Zsa Padilla, Robin Nievera and Gerard Salonga who was announced as a world-renowned musical director who joined the production.
Hosted by US Girls, Angel Aquino, Iya Villania and Megan Young, the event announced many developments like the new cast members and the hope for a second season soon to be shot also in Singapore.
Like The Kitchen Musical, the event also featured the delectable dishes served at the Hotel Intercontinental Makati (official hotel partner of The Kitchen Musical); Smoked Duck Breast, Salad of Orange, Walnut and Fennel, Sumac Crouton in Pomegranate Vinaigrette;
Roast Pumpkin and Ginger Soup served with Toasted Gruyere Croute;
Main Entree of Red Wine Marinated Tenderloin, Grilled Sea Bass, Rosemary Potato, Steamed Greens and Pan Gravy;
and a wonderful sweet ending of Rich Tablea Chocolate Cake "Dome" dipped with Hot "Kapeng Barako" Sauce.
I really enjoyed the show and the dinner. I'm really hoping that they'd soon show the next season of The Kitchen Musical.
The Kitchen Musical is an original production by The Group Entertainment with Filipino stars, Karylle, Christian Bautista, Joseph "Thou" Reyes, Ikey Canoy and other Filipino talents.
I would probably suggest that the show feature other Filipino talents in the cast and they'd sing more of my favorite songs. The Kitchen Musical Gala Night was sponsored by ABS-CBN Studio 23, Hotel Intercontinental Manila and Anchor Butter.
