It's always Friday everyday at T.G.I.Friday's and it really felt like it last Thursday attending the opening of the second flagship store with their new 250-seater, multi-level store in Eastwood City, Libis. It is the only free standing Friday's branch in the country since most are located inside the malls.
It felt a bit different entering the new T.G.I.Friday's at Eastwood City, Libis with their new contemporary casual look. The memories started creeping in about my own cherished experiences on Friday's Ball Park Nachos (P495) a big plate of mounded tortilla chips covered with cheese sauce, picadillo meat, pico de gallo and salsa. Featured in spot.ph's best nachos in town, Friday's Ball Park Nachos reminded me of my first time eating nachos at Glorietta branch after watching a movie that featured it in the 90's-crispy, cheesy, meaty and served hot on a big plate.
Friday's is also the place I have fallen in love with Caesar Salad (P285-regular/P405-to share), crisp hearts of Romaine lettuce, topped with their very own Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan cheese and crunchy croutons. It was my best friend Lori's favorite place to eat Caesar Salad in the Philippines and I have developed the habit of eating the whole plate on my own after.
It was delightful to try battered Shrimps (P375-6pcs/P555-12pcs) instead of the usual Fish and Chips at Fridays and it was hard to resist indulging in those crispy herbed french fries larger than those served in fastfood.
They also served us Friday's Three-For-All (P695) with the famous appetizers; loaded potato skins, fried mozarella cheese and Buffalo wings, served with sour cream, green onions, marinara sauce and celery sticks with Bleu cheese dressing. The huge plate with hefty servings will really be good to share to more than three in a group and considering the price, it's really a good deal to share with friends and family at Fridays.
Another recommended dish in their new menu is Friday's Bacon Cheeseburger (P395)- mouth-watering all-beef patty covered with melted American cheese, thick crispy bacon and classic fixings. It's so huge, it would be difficult to finish an order otherwise you'd skip the appetizers.
Friday's Chicken (P375) -grilled marinated chicken breast dusted with Cajun spices, topped with melted Monterey Jack cheese and three strips of crispy bacon stacked on a toasted bun spread with sweet-hickory mayonnaise and served with crispy fries is an alternative to those who prefer white meat. The pickles and the sweetness of the tomatoes excited my palate savoring the tasty crispy bacon, grilled chicken and melted cheese. It was a hearty meal without the guilt.
I did not miss trying for the first time Friday's Spicy New Orleans (P335-regular/P535-to share) - fettuccine pasta tossed with sauteed chicken, mushrooms, onions, green and red bell peppers, in Friday's own spicy tomato Creole sauce. It's another must-try I'd definitely recommend to my loved ones and friends this season of giving.
If it's a night-out with girls who prefer not sharing a huge burger, Friday's also has this Burger Slider (P355), char-grilled all-beef patty served on a bed of fresh-chilled lettuce, slice of tomato and topped with Friday's special caramelized onions.
Finally, the piece de resistance arrived - Sizzlin Combo Fajita (P585), grilled and marinated chicken and steak strips on a bed of sauteed onions, red and green peppers served with colby cheese, sour cream, pico de gallo and flour tortillas.
Just when I thought dinner was over, delectable desserts from Friday's were served, Brownie Obsession (P295) and Mocha Mud Pie (P285). I preferred the Brownie Obsession as it wasn't so sweet and the chunky chocolate brownie brought the perfect texture to the vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate syrup. It's a heavenly ending to a perfect meal at Friday's.
T.G.I.Friday's Eastwood City Libis is the 13th store conveniently located in the corner of the City Walk acroos the Eastwood Mall and the place would definitely be perfect for any meeting or gathering. I love the new look of Friday's now with more decorative pieces to enjoy with family and friends.
I really love the new contemporary casual look with some of our favorite icons on display like Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and Superman. They also have disco balls and other memorabilia on the wall for memories and photo background. The new "Wow" menu includes their signature appetizers Fried Mozarella and Potato Skins, and hearty choices of salads, burgers, fajitas, pastas, sandwiches, steaks and seafood dishes. I'd definitely go back for more of these dishes and their new added delights of Almond Crusted Chicken, Grilled Caribbean Wings, Jack Daniel's Sampler, Honey Pecan Salmon and new desserts to grace the list starting December 1.
Friday's being famous for their Mojitos is serving them now bottomless at P305 everyday from 4pm onwards.
Wow your friends and family and carry the tradition of celebration that Friday's only provide. After all, it's always Friday at Friday's and you wouldn't want to miss the fun.
