Event: Yeng Constantino features OPM with new album, "Yeng Constantino LIVE!"

Continuously inspiring youth today is Rockoustic Princess Yeng Constantino who launched her fourth solo album and her-ever live music music compilation with "Yeng Constantino LIVE". I've attended the launch at Rai Rai Ken Restaurant in SM North The Block last night with fellow media who witnessed how she had brought back the Yeng we love wearing the "rockista" image. The album was released by Star Records and it includes songs handpicked personally by Yeng herself.
She paid tribute to her great musical influences like Erasherheads, Apo Hiking Society and Rey Valera. The album was recorded live in Teatrino Promenade in Greenhills, track list includes, "Alapaap"(composed by Ely Buendia of Eraserheads), "Mahirap Magmahal ng Syota ng Iba"(composed by Jim Paredes of Apo Hiking Society), "Paniwalaan Mo"(composed by Chito Ilacad), "Kumusta Ka"(composed by Rey Valera), "Even If"(composed by Cecille Azarcon-Inocente), "Kahapon Lamang" (composed by George Canseco), "Kahit Konti" (composed by Gary Granada), "Esem"(composed by Westdon Abay), "Banal na Aso, Santong Kabayo" (composed by Westdon Abay), and a medley of two of Yeng's signature compositions, "Hawak Kamay" and "Salamat". I asked her which song was close to her heart and she was teary-eyed narrating her experiences why she loves "Esem". She recalled her struggles with her mom trying to get to the Pinoy Dream Academy auditions. She cried while singing the song and she appreciated how her life today had totally turned more than she expected.
After her all-original album entitled, "Lapit" collaborated with Raimund Marasigan, Yeng's "Yeng Versions LIVE" is another collaboration with another OPM music icon Jack Rufo, former lead guitarist of the 90s band Neocolors.
I love her version of "Paniwalaan Mo" and "Alapaap" but I could not sympathize more listening to her favorite "Esem" which should be an inspiration to more youth today who face struggles she used to face before. I truly admire Yeng for her humility and innocence since most of her age are into relationships. She has never had a boyfriend but she's also like everyone  (she did not want to reveal her crush on Enchong Dee).
Don't miss Yeng's live renditions of classic OPM hits in "Yeng Constantino LIVE" with video CD of her live performances in the album. Songs can now be downloaded online via www.starrecords.ph.
