C2 Green Tea awarded new breed of music video makers last Friday at the Music Hall of the SM Mall of Asia. First place winner Karlo Victoriano bagged P150,000 plus P20,000 worth of C2 products; Keith Dela Rosa got 2nd bringing home P100,000 plus P10,000 worth of C2 products; and third place winner Toby Concepcion received P50,000 plus P5,000 worth of C2 products.
The contest was launched last August encouraging aspiring video makers to interpret the song Sarap ng Bukas through music videos and out of hundreds of entries, 10 made it to the recent finals night where a showdown for the best video was held.
The event was hosted by MYX VJs Mike and Nikki showing the 10 finalists: Harold Alvea of Laguna; Iar Lionel Arondaing of Caloocan City; Andrew Singco of Cebu; Joan Rodriguez of Cavite; Jeswinda Montalban of Davao; Alexander Uy from Malate, Manila; and Roberto Francisco of Parañaque City. Each of them took home P10,000 plus C2 products.
We were first treated a sumptuous buffet at La Mesa Grill before the program and musical performances from top local acts like our very own Paramore-like sound, Gracenote, whimsical alternative rock band, Tanya Markova, Someday Dream and the famous Callalilly.
I was fortunate to have learned more about the product my son patronized all these years. C2 (Cool and Clean) was a product of Universal Robina Corporation's alternative to sodas available in the market. In the quest for providing healthy drinks adapting to the dynamic lifestyles of Filipinos, C2 wanted to spread the message of better, healthier tomorrow. It was our fortunate chat with Mr. Edwin Totanes, VP and General Manager of URC's Beverage Division that we learned the truth about C2 contrary to the belief that it's processed and not brewed from fresh green tea leaves. We were apalled at his passion and commitment to the brand enlightening us all about what we don't know about C2. It's actually made with 100% natural green tea leaves and he even invited us all to visit the plant to witness how the tea is freshly brewed everyday.
I left with awe at all young music video makers who created professional-like presentations and the delight that C2 actually has Milky Tea and Sugar-free Apple flavors. Other flavors are Apple, Classic, Lemon, Peach, Orange, Pandan, Forest Fruits and Strawberry you can all buy at all leading supermarkets, groceries and sari-sari stores nationwide.
Love the Filipino music...
