Tattlers of the Philippines with influence spanning across the globe were awarded by Globe Tattoo last night at The Manila Peninsula. I was as excited with friends nominated at the Globe Tatt Awards and I thought the voting online contributed to winning the Tatt Awards until they announced it was only 10% and the awardees were chosen by the Tatt Council.
We were first greeted by ushers who encouraged to write messages with our photos taken instantly at the door of the Rigodon Ballroom. There was also the dedication booth set up to request songs for friends hosted by Chico Garcia of Monster Radio RX 93.1.
I was mesmerized at the presence of Maria Ressa, a veteran journalist and a former ABS-CBN's Head of News and Current Affairs, CNN Jakarta News Bureau Chief now Author-In-Residence at the International Centre for Political Violence, a member of the Tatt Council. Joining her in the said Tatt Council were RockEd Philippines founder Gang Badoy, prolific blogger and entrepreneur Cecille Zamora-Van Straten, tech blogger supreme and Tattoo ambassador Rico Mossessgeld, Director and Video Blogger Kring Elenzano, RX radio DJ Chico Garcia, President of the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines Hans Roxas-Chua and Tattoo Head of Nomadic Broadband Business Dong Ronquillo.
I was too excited watching who won the Tatt Awards that my camera couldn't contain stable photos. The event started with musical performances by those that rocked the internet world (Very interesting "burgis" song and other performances by Johnoy Danao, Paramita band and YouTube sensation Arjohn Gilbert) followed by Maria Ressa who shared her thoughts about Social Media and how significant organizing a community can move mountains and effect change to the perennial problems of the country.
Hosted by Tim Yap and social darling Divine Lee, the winners were presented by Tatt Council members:1. Stylisimo - Laureen Uy

We left the hall before YouTube sensation Maria Aragon performed but I was really happy to have witnessed the most influential people in the internet. It really gave me more motivation to improve my hobby not for the purpose of recognition but to rekindle passion on some interests I have long abandoned because of my busy schedules. Winners received P100,000 and premium broadband products from Tattoo.
I am a Globe postpaid subscriber and I always use the Globe Tattoo Stick. I have witnessed its speed and fast connection facilitating Online Writing Contests for students this week and I must say it's really best value for your money. Now they're selling Globe Tattoo Broadband USB Sticks with FREE P100 call card!
