Event: I got crazy over Krazy Garlic Greenbelt 5

Garlic never tasted this good from my own kitchen. It was my first time indulging in garlic-based dishes at Krazy Garlic Greenbelt 5 last Thursday with fellow bloggers presented by the Bistro Group of Restaurants (the same company behind the success of T.G.I. Friday's, Italliani's, Fish & Co., Flapjacks, Billy Rock and Pig Out).

As the name implies, Krazy Garlic specializes in delicious food infused with garlic and other spices. I have seen my co-teachers and elders use garlic not just as an antioxidant but as a quick relief and ease reducing bad cholesterol. Now, there's no need to just chew on raw garlic because anyone can just head to Krazy Garlic to enjoy passion about food and monitor their cholesterol because their dishes are really delicious.

We were served their variety of garlic-infused/based appetizers; Baba Ghanoush (P255) - sesame paste with roasted eggplant, cumin, garlic served with flat bread;

Spinach and Cream Cheese (P225)- deep-fried spinach and cream cheese wontons on a bed of shredded romaine lettuce served with homemade vinegar sauce;

Garlic and Anchovy Affection (P195) - Garlic cloves roasted in olive oil, topped with anchovies served with garlic bread;

Amazing Krazy Garlic Salad (P275/475-to share)- a refreshing Asian salad mix with cucumber, bell peppers, onions and oriental chicken strips tossed in sesame lime dressing topped with fried wontons and peanut sauce;

Pasta variety like their Shrimp Maramonte (P450) - Al dente spaghetti pasta sauteed in pesto sauce, fresh baby clams and shrimps and Fetuccine Oriente (P450) - unique pasta with Chinese greens and creamy seafood sauce.

Really Krazy Rice varieties of Chinese-Style Fried Rice (P365-to share)- chinese sausage, vegetables and shitake mushrooms and their infamous Hara-Kiri Rice (P365 to share) - spicy fried rice with chilis, squid, shrimps and bacon;

Their house specialty, Garlic Snowflakes Krazy Pizza (P495) - freshly-made pizza with a creamy base, topped with shrimps, pineapple and garlic flakes, was really so delicious.

Main dishes of Garlicky Crispy Pata (P695) -deep-fried pork leg topped with fried garlic and olive oil;

Oxtail and Chorizo Stew (P650)- oxtail simmered with tomatoes, Spanish chorizo and garlic;

Grilled Tuna Belly (P395) - grilled to perfection seasoned tuna belly in special soy vinegar sauce;

I was too full with just a nibble of all these delicious dishes but I never wanted to miss the sweet endings of Crema Catalana (P195)- Spanish style Crème brûlée with a twist of garlic

and Apple Tart A La Mode (P225) -tart made of fresh green apples and filla pastry served with vanilla ice cream.

The feast of delectable garlic-infused/based dishes ended with me still eager to explore the taste of other Krazy Garlic dishes in the menu. My stomach could not carry more but my heart and my taste buds are still hungry. 
Krazy Garlic brought different garlic recipes from all over the world and the garlic culinary tour continues with the restaurants continued passion to create more dishes with garlic as their star ingredient. I have yet to try their very famous 40 Cloves Garlic Chicken which they say uses 40 cloves of garlic varieties. They also have other special appetizers like the Creamy Garlic Fondue, a creamy garlic and cheese dip served with garlic bread and Duck Salad Chinois - slivers of duck breasts, watercress, ginger and sesame vinaigrette. I would definitely visit again to try their Krazy Garlic Crab (highly recommended fried alimango crab smothered with garlic and olive oil) and Roast Duck Leg with Black Currant Sauce (served with season vegetables and parseleyed potatoes). I wouldn't mind getting crazy of Krazy Garlic because garlic actually is a powerful natural antibiotic. The bacteria in the body do not appear to evolve resistance to the garlic as they do to many pharmaceutical antibiotics. 
Garlic can be used to treat high cholestrol, parasites, respiratory problems, poor digestion, and low energy. Studies suggest that regularly eating garlic helps lower blood pressure, controls blood sugar and blood cholesterol, and boosts the immune system. It has also been found to reduce the risk of esophageal, stomach, and colon cancer.
So there's more reason for everyone to get crazy over Krazy Garlic - for food passions and health. The thought actually reminds me of those suspected to be "aswang"! Get out of the folklore and indulge at Krazy Garlic in Greenbelt 5 Makati or in Resorts World, Pasay branches.
