Globe made the first true 4G at its launch in Heritage Hotel with 4G-powered laptops and tremendous wraparound video screen depicting high speed experience with guests sampling the one-of-a-kind high-octane revolution that Globe can offer. Leading the pack was the Globe-powered internet brand Tattoo with their newest product, the first ever 4G stick in the country, Tattoo Tonino Lamborghini, running on Globe's HSPA+ network at speeds up to five times faster than other sticks. Newest Tattoo ambassador Marlon Stockinger, the 20-year old Fil-Swiss racing heartthrob and Formula 1 hopeful, also joined the festivities, chatting up a storm with host Gino Quillamor.
Alongside the Tattoo Tonino Lamborghini stick, Globe also announced the impending launch of the Samsung Galaxy S2, the next-generation smartphone that is the first 4G-enabled device to run on the company’s mobile HSPA+ network, soon to be available as part of Globe’s postpaid roster of My SuperSurf Plans. In addition, the brand introduced the Video Messaging Service (VMS), an interactive media- based offering that will allow customers to create, view, upload, share, send and receive video content through their mobile phones.
Alongside Dong Ronquillo were Globe Senior Adviser for Consumer Business Peter Bithos and Head of Portfolio Management Joanna Africa. Tattoo brand ambassadors Marlon Stockinger, Rio dela Cruz, Sarah Gaugler, Alodia Gosiengfiao, Saab Magalona, and rock band General Luna stood shoulder to shoulder to support the 4G launch, joined by noted racers Jojo Silverio, Georges Ramirez, Gaby dela Merced and guests Pia Magalona, lifestyle blogger Cecile Zamora-Van Straten, Egin Stockinger, Nix Alanon and designer Rajo Laurel.
