People on the go like me usually loves meals that need no cutting and shredding. I've tried the new Spoon Meals of Figaro at Tomas Morato branch last Tuesday and began to love any meal oozing with cheese or cream on rice. Chicken Thyme with Creamy Cheese Sauce (P215), deep-fried chicken fillet marinated with thyme poured with creamy cheese sauce served with buttered corn and carrots, steamed rice and a choice of iced or brewed coffee or iced tea. I chose to have brewed coffee after braving the rainy weather and lift my spirits. The chicken fillet was flavorful with thyme and surprisingly not dry after having a first bite. I really loved the sweetness of the buttered corn and carrots complementing the saltiness of the creamy cheese sauce on top of the crunchy chicken thyme fillet. I believe the girls and the kids will appreciate their chicken fillet better with thyme now after having Figaro's Chicken Thyme with Creamy Cheese Sauce.
Chicken Ala King (P215) is diced marinated chicken in special creamy sauce with vegetables served with buttered corn and carrots, steamed rice and a choice of iced or brewed coffee or iced tea. I remember chicken ala king in UP CASAA back in 1991 and wondered why most college girls prefer them. I've began loving the dish served on a bread bowl a few years after and learned how to prepare it for dinner guests on special occasions. A bite of the chicken ala king on rice with buttered corn and vegetables was like comfort food conveniently available at Figaro. Now I need not budge to prepare the dish because it is now available at all Figaro branches. Who ever said Figaro only serves coffee and pastries have not explored their pastas, rice dishes, pizzas and sandwiches, and now, another addition to their ala carte meals, Spoon Meals sure to satisfy you on busy days. I need not eat meals elsewhere and have coffee in Figaro because everything I need is already in one place. I am thankful for the trip down memory lane and a satisfying dinner of Spoon Meals at Figaro.
