Review: Nakamura ka na, Naka-TUNA ka pa Lunch at Joseph and Jaemark's Family Grill

Lunch at Joseph and Jaemark's Family Grill is worth more than P999. I thought of treating my family to a great lunch last Sunday and Joseph and Jaemark's  was the perfect choice for groups of 4-5 members. Crispy Buntot ng Tuna (deceiving as it tastes like crispy pata), Stuffed Pechay, Pork Sisig and Halaan soup with unlimited rice and two rounds of iced tea comprised Set A of Joseph and Jaemark's Lunch Specials my family enjoyed after Sunday mass.
My son, my sister and her hubby, Amang had a taste of the Halaan Soup first and was so happy with the hefty serving of the next dish, Stuffed Pechay. The conversations about how we seldom eat Halaan triggered my sister to narrate in detail the dish she prepared for her grand daughter who did not visit the day before. My sister was surprised at the taste and the filling of the Stuffed Pechay which geared the conversation to another topic instead of more comments on her cooking skills. Soon after everyone had a bite of it, the family was spilling expletives.
I was finally happy hearing only expletives until the pitch got higher with the next dish,  more oohs and aahhs at Crispy Buntot ng Tuna and Pork Sisig. I was also surprised with my son eating more fish since he seldom eat them. He was convinced like my sister that it really tasted like Crispy Pata and that the Pork Sisig was a great catalyst to divert that taste.
It was a complete family meal- vegetables, fish and meat and it reminded me of how we never really made such effort to dress up and prepare lavishly for a family meal like how my best friend Lori taught me years ago. I guess that culture my friend taught me was a tradition I really miss. More trips to Joseph and Jaemark's may probably start another tradition - great taste and real quality time with the family.
The service was also great with the owners personally attending to all our needs. We were told of the Barkada Happy Hour which would be perfect to friends who love alcohol with a bucket of local beers for only P199 and their Brewfest on February 10, 2010 - 10 styles of unlimited craft beers from 5 US Microbreweries at P550/head.
Barkada Lunch Specials comes in 3 sets! Set A - Crispy Buntot ng Tuna, Pork Sisig, Stuffed Pechay, Halaan Soup with unlimited rice and two rounds of iced tea. Set B - Inihaw na Panga, Grilled Liempo, Lechon Kangkong and Sinigang na Salmon with unlimited rice and two rounds of iced tea. Set C - Grilled Tuna Belly, Grilled Liempo, Chopsuey and Tom Yum Salmon with unlimited rice and two rounds of iced tea. This promo is available for dine-in customers only.
Truly, nakamura ka na, naka TUNA ka pa!
