The weather today made me look for coffee and led me to heavenly snacks of Calzone and Tiramisu Eclair at Figaro Tomas Morato. Their Supreme Calzone (P85) was soft and chewy stuffed with Italian sausage, cheese and tomatoes. I was told that they also have Pepperoni Calzone (P85) - a soft and chewy dough stuffed with pepperoni, cheese and tomatoes but the store had run out of stocks of this variant. I remembered a friend who introduced me to Calzone in another restaurant years ago and how it seemed like a pie to me in the beginning. Funny how it looked like an empanada but it's Calzone because it's made of pizza dough stuffed with pizza toppings. Random ideas came out of my head thinking, it must've been called by some as pizza empanada. Then, I thought of another snack to fill in my hunger for more flavors.
Flair your cakes and voila, a Tiramisu Eclair!
I've thought of so many things to some people I have known for years seemed quite ghoulish but those with similar interests will eventually turn to food for relief. Tiramisu Eclair (P65) at Figaro was the recluse I needed to clear those clouds of fear. That soft and dreamy cake dipped in coffee, drizzled with cocoa powder and confectionery sugar, Tiramisu became an elongated soft cake stuffed with creamy custard to ease all the stress after another day at work. It was hard not to mess my clothes at the first bite since licking the drips was difficult to resist. It was really delicious and it made me forget all the worries I was preoccupied with for a while. A few more sips of brewed coffee after and I was ready to face the next task ahead.
